THE GREENHOUSE NETWORKS 4TH ANNUAL RACE TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING
8:00 am - 10 am
The Greenhouse Network's race is comprised of an 8K combined trail run with a 5K fitness walk. There is also a free children's fun run around the
concert lawn of the zoo and a toddler trot for 2 & under with a diaper dash leading into our interactive Earth Day Expo.

The Race features 3-time NYC Marathon winner Alberto Salazar with FOX 12 meteorologist Mark Nelson emceeing. Proceeds from the race benefit the zoo and The Green House Network's
campaign against global warming. For more information on the race and to register, visit
http://www.racetostopglobalwarming.org

For more information about The Greenhouse Network, visit http://www.greenhousenet.org.
Note: Zoo admission is required for those not participating in the Race.

EARTH DAY EXPO
9 am - 4 pm
Celebrate Earth Day at the Zoo! This is by far the most fun and family-friendly Earth Day celebration in the area!  Dozens of booths feature games, take-home crafts and activities for kids and families. Exhibits are designed by environmental groups, plus companies promoting products that make being an environmentalist easy and fun.  Sometimes the stress of trying to save the planet can get overwhelming... so be sure to take advantage of mini-massage stations and personal care products while the kids are playing the "Save the Salmon" game.  All this is free with regular zoo admission -- so don't forget to visit the wildlife while you're there!
(Face painting and photo opportunities with costume characters are available for a small fee)
Don't forget to stop by and visit Zoboo from the PBS children's show Zoboomafoo, too! Zoboo is brought to you in part by OPB.
